well, it doesnt. it doesnt have a taskbar or coolswitch entry either, when minimized. i have to terminate it with ctrl+alt+delete or another program called starter (only thing that actually terminates things.. instead of asking programs nicely first), then run it again..

EDIT: oh yea, another thing, its not "DeskCamX1.1.4b.exe.jar" that i am terminating to make it stop, to make it stop i gotta terminate "javaw.exe".. which was quite confusing for me

yeah its javaw.exe because thats is the thing that runs it.
I have no clue why its not showing up for you in the task bar tray, it shuld show up there as soon as you run the program, unles you dont have thouse two ico files in the directory with the program

flash.ico and ScreenShot.ico

i do have both of those icon files, actually. they just dont seem to be serving a purpose :| (edit: yes they are in the same directory as DeskCamX1.1.4b.exe.jar)

sorry but that is really annoying. it seems everybody wants to ditch the mainstream operating systems that the majority of people use, just for the small group of people who can afford the newer crap. makes me sick.

oh if you dont want it to hide you can try the linux version, they are "almost" identical one of the difference is that the linux version doesnt hide to task bar tray and just minimized like any other program.

Windows Version.
this new version has the ability to start minimized and start when windows starts, instructions in the readme.
also increased the update time to 3600 seconds.
link DeskCamX 1.1.4b

Linux Version.
link DeskCamX 1.1.1
