ok WHAT THE F@CK
<story>
I was in the process of moving, so of course I had to pack my computer up and put it in the new house. Sprint said it wouldn't be til Friday when we can get our internet back. (we moved on monday) Monday my sig worked fine, friday when I get my internet back, it didn't.
</story>
<Help>
It worked before, and nothing has changed on my end. Did something happen between last monday and friday that I wasn't aware about? My host might have messed something up, but he said GD was still installed on the server I'm on... as of right now, he has yet to respond to what version he has installed on the server I can get back to you when he tells me.

Here is the link to the sig: http://trippin.uni.cc/sigx/index.php or http://trippin.uni.cc/sigx/sigx.png (this way i know its not my htaccess messing it up.

and following the advice of a post I read earlier, here is the phps: http://trippin.uni.cc/sigx/index.phps

--edit-- the title of the post is like this because when i type the full address to my image, I get this error:
Code:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: imagefontwidth() in /home/trippin/public_html/sigx/index.php on line 116

When I only the the name of the image (its in the same folder) I get a blank page.

Im sorry but I do not understand what you need me to tell you... I can ask my host any questions you might find helpful, I just don't know the right questions to ask.

He may have the same problem I had.

Try using the imagecreate instead of imagecreatetruecolor.

Nah I just downloaded the Alien example and put my username in and my image, and it didn't work... blank page.

Then I tried what ChefAce said, and put ImageCreate instead of ImageCreateTrueColor

the line should look like
Code:
   $im = @imagecreate ($width,$height); // create the image
right?

If anyone thinks it would help, I could ask my host if he can upgrade to GD 2.0.1 , but I don't want to make him do that and then it not help.

This is what my host said:
Quote:
I had actually checked out the website and there is an even newer version than 2.0.1. The problem is the newest one for Redhat Linux 9.0 is 1.8.4-11. http://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/search.php?query=gd

I might be able to upgrade to 2. but I have to make sure it's going to work.

Does anyone know if any version of 2 will work with redhat 9 or is it even needed? he said
