Add data to the stats bar

These things only apply to the stats bar and not to the SigX image
1) In the SigX program go to Extras and click on Edit Stats Bar, The Stats bar already comes filled in.

Add random quotes

In the SigX program go to Edit, Settings and in the Random Quotes text field add as many random quotes as you want pushing enter after each one. If you want a random quote to take up two or more lines in SigX because itÆs a long sentence you can type *<* anywhere in that line of text and it will show as two lines inside SigX, donÆt push enter after the last line or there is a chance one of your random quotes will be an empty line.

*<* is a way SigX represents new lines.

Run scripts

You set up your scripts in templates.txt there are already examples of how to do it. The scripts go to the SigX/Scripts Folder.

First part of this is the name that shows up in the SigX drop down the second part is the marker {script}= which tells SigX that itÆs a script followed by the script name and the update interval in minutes after the comma.

"foldingStats" "{script}=foldingStats.vbs,60"

You can get to templates by going to Edit, Settings and clicking open SigX folder

there are already pre made scripts for you, you can open them in notepad and edit the links for example in the RSS script that gets RSS feeds from any RSS enabled web site. you can edit these two lines.

'get content
rss.ContentURL = "http://slashdot.org/rss/index.rss"
rss.MaxResults = 3

the rss.ContentURL is the web page from which your trying to get the RSS and the rss.MaxResults is the number of headlines you want it to return.

Set up your weather

1) Go to Edit, Settings and type in your Zip code

If by any chance the Zip code does not work, here is the alternavite:

1) Go to http://weather.noaa.gov/index.html
2) Select a country from the drop down list
3) select a city in that country
4) When you get the page for example
* http://weather.noaa.gov/weather/current/UMMS.html
In the zip code field type in UMMS, or UMMS.html. UMMS being the last word to the link of your country.

1)Go to SigX config page by clicking the blue link in the SigX program
2)From the left menu select MoodX
3)Select the default image, font size, and color you want for your MoodX then hit the generate button to generate the URL for your MoodX

show how long you used a program or game

1) In the SigX program click on Extras, Program / Game List
2) From the start menu find and open, Start, Programs, SigX, Window Getter program
3) Select the program you want to monitor by clicking on it then push down on the shift key for example if you want to keep track of MS Paint you would select it and hit shift and the Window Getter program would give you this
Title = untitled - Paint
Class = MSPaintApp
4) You have two choices of what to put in the game list either the class or the title of a program you only need one of them it can be a partial name of the title or an exact name of the class
5) Select Add New from the Program / Game list paste in the class name MSPaintApp, Check in the check box that says class and add an appropriate output message for example: Using Microsoft Paint.
6) Click Save

The index serves a purpose if you have two items and you want to track them both with the same total time you can set their index to be the same number.

Game varaibles found in Help, Advanced Layout Variables can only be used in the templates.txt file not in a signature field. You can edit the output for game in the templates.txt

Use the replace feature

1) To use this feature Go to Exit, Custom Settings
LetÆs take a look at this example and see what it means
"Now Playing: Player Closed *<*" ""
This means if winamp is closed it will remove that line from your signature and move everything up by one line. You can also use the replace for something like this you can select idle time from the drop down and it will show up as uptime if your not idle or it will show both when you go idle. Notice the 3 before the word Time that is required to prevent replication and if you look at the second line itÆs changed back to ôIdle Timeö.

"Idle Time:" "System Uptime: {uptime}*<*Idle 3Time:"
"Idle 3Time:" "Idle Time:"
"*<*Idle Time: 0 seconds" ""

You can use this for other things as well anything you can think of replacing you can. DonÆt forget you can use View Preview to preview the changes.
